Here are some of the key features that distinguish Illumient from other lighting solutions:
- Solar panel mounting arm design
- Made from steel, not aluminum, in order to minimize size and ensure long lasting structural integrity for wind loading
- Attached to the pole using a clamp which allows the panel to be directed south, independent of the light and battery cabinet direction
- Contains slots that allow standard grid tie panels to be used, minimizing replacement costs in terms of labor and enables
- Designed to capitalize on the constantly reducing costs of grid tie solar panels
- 6 strategically located receptacle boxes at the upper part of the pole
- Allows flexibility of locating the solar and lighting arm but minimize wire harness exposure.
- Has water tight access point to minimize water into the pole
- Rubber gaskets on lighting arm and solar arm and cable strain reliefs have been used to prevent wire harness wear due to vibration and wind movement of exposed wire harness
- Ground wires at each receptacle box area coupled with TVS protection to protect the electronics and LED lighting ballasts
- Hardware is locally sourceable and used in multiple locations in the design so it easy to install and repair.
- As examples, the receptacle plates and grounding connections all use the same stainless steel 1/4 " hardware.
- The mounting bolt and hardware is the same used for the battery connections.
- All these parts can be sourced from your local Home Depot or hardware store.
- Battery cables can be found at local automotive distributors.
- All external and internal fuse protection use standard automotive style fuses that can also be easily sourced.
- Prefabricated wire harnesses with key and colored connectors and fused at the right places for easy installation
- All cables are SOOW-rated to ensure long life for exposure to water and sun.
- 4 battery cabinet
- Insulated battery shelves are removable so they are safe to install, and allows up to 140AH batteries to be used when needed for higher capacity loads or northern or cloudier climates.
- Batteries located at ground level for safety and easier installation. No special equipment or training is needed to replace the batteries.
- Battery door comes with a standard pad lockable latch and the Horizon controller has an option for a door sensor that can be monitored remotely through the Horizon service.
- Electronics enclosures
- All keyed and mounted just above the batteries for quick and easy installation of the electronics.
- The electronics are sheltered from dripping water or debris, eliminating the concern of water or other damage
- Web-based remote monitoring and control by Illumience Cloud software
- Enables all the operational characteristics (voltage current x solar, wind ac, wind dc, battery, load) to be seen at the same time, immediately and over time.
- All these inputs and outputs are interacting and need to be functioning properly for the system to work. We enable 10 measurements to be made at a time, something a technician can never physically do.
- Support from Clear Blue Technology staff – our cloud-based service allows Clear Blue’s team of experts to support your installations – no matter where they are or how many lights you have. This allows us to profile the site, diagnose site issues remotely and lowers your costs.
- Remote control - adjust loads to meet site demands and optimize battery life. Flexible light on/off, dimming profiles, motion detection that can be done from the cloud allows changes to the lights as needed - without a site visit.
- Clear Blue Technology is the only company that can do this remotely, which saves huge costs in preventing battery failure, maximize battery life and prevent the need to fix these problems on site.
